A total effin' onslaught of unmitigated power, audacity and talent from Impious. Opening with "Inject" and the breakneck "Wicked Saints" and closing with the surprisingly epic "Suicide Park," Hellucinate doesn't disappoint. Martin Akesson is in fine growling form, while the bass and drum unit of Erik Peterson and Mikael Noren comes off all nice 'n' evil just like you'd expect Swedish death to do. (Should we mention that Robin Sorqvist and Valle Adzick tear the neck off of their guitars and will tear your neck off too?) While other writers have gone on and on about how perfect this album is I'm going to close my piehole open my ears and go back in for a deeper swim with this one. You owe it to yourself to do the same. Trust me, it's not just your imagination.
