First of all, Red Harvest absolutely defies generic pidgeonholing. Second, if your taste runs to apocalyptic noise cum speedcore cum techno/gabber/jungle/industrial -- that is to say, any variation on the Godflesh/J.K. Broadrick school of post-metal methodology, then this CD will rarely leave your system. Red Harvest spring from Norway, and while their roots lie firmly planted in the fertile ground of Black Metal, they have gone where cohorts like Mayhem have, translating the German Expressionist telegraphese of lyric structures sewn by the likes of Napalm Death; the dark-minded auto-destruct textures of digital hardcore and the doomy sensibility spawned by Sabbath, into a spin on the information superhighway that will leave you breathless, stunned and gasping for more. Even Harvest's old friend and touring partner, Maniac from Mayhem, gets into the act, lending his lungs to the bonus track "Final Scorn."
