rebelHot is an Italian 4-piece band absolutely soaked in rootsy 70’s Rock influences. Since releasing their debut album back in 2016, featuring Jason Patterson from Cry Of Love as special guest and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio, rebelHot have already piled up the miles in the tour van and also played at festivals around Europe with artists like Y&T, The Darkness, Joe Lynn Turner, The Quireboys, Autograph and Mike Estes’ Skinny Molly. Uncomfortableness will be released world-wide on October 12th, 2018 via Metalapolis Records and features 10 brand new songs plus an exclusive bonus track on the vinyl edition. The band has chosen to keep the production in-house this time around with guitarist Paul Mainetti to the fore. The band recorded the majority of the record live directly into the studio mixing console with no digital effects or overdubs and this gives the album a pleasing aural feel.
From the opening "How is Elvis" which imagines Hendrix and Joplin hand-in-hand in Memphis to the end of "Stand Up", Uncomfortableness has a rootsy earthiness which has elements of southern rock and country music within its grooves that belie its genesis in Italy. There’s no reason why rebelHot can’t become a bit of a force given the quality of the picking and tunes on offer. Yee and indeed haw!
