And now...something completely different. Metamodal is a really good album. No electronics or special effects here just the natural sound of music. We start with "Lament" and it is absolutely serene. Music you can chill out to after a long hard day at work. A still lake accepts a falling leaf but the water barely notices that's how light the track is. Things pick up after that with this Greek quartet. "Transition" does exactly that with more intensity in this acoustic music. I like this a lot. It's well thought out with complex arrangements bordering on what Shadowfax was doing during the 1980's. Sokratis' lyra has a haunting tone and as you can see in the teaser video (link below) there's not a lot of room on that neck. Even the scraping of the bow evokes emotion and is no less musical as the notes it is producing. I recommend this highly.
