In this ninth studio album by power metal trio Iron Fire, we are shown power metal is alive and well in Denmark.
From the opening track "Beyond The Void", the band comes out of the gate swinging. Drummer Gunnar Olsen is clearly a powerhouse, as the album moves at a blistering speed. The single "Wrong Turn" is a monster of a song, but honestly, in listening to the album as a whole any of these tracks could have been a single.
With brilliant guitar work from guitarist Kirk Backarach on tracks like "Bones and Gasoline", things are melodic yet brutal & savage at the same time. Only track eight, "Judgement Day", slows things down slightly, yet it doesn't mean it misses a step in delivering a hell of a message. "One More Bullet" is a personal favorite of the bunch, a track that is completely out for blood, as bassist & lead vocalist Martin Steene delivers the goods on an album that, even on the back end of the tracks, shows no signs of slowing down.
"Out Of Nowhere" closes out this album and leaves you yearning for more.
This album is must for any true power metal fan!
