Liquid Sound Company, The: Acid Music For Acid People

I am new to the music of The Liquid Sound Company but am really glad to have made their acquaintance. The band was formed in 1996 by John Perez (guitars) and Jason Spradlin (drums and percussion). Throughout the years musicians have come and gone but the core of the band remains. They released their debut Exploring the Psychedelic in 1996 followed by Inside The Acid Temple in 2002 and their last platter titled Acid Music For Acid People in 2011.

It’s pretty simple really, Acid Music For Acid People pretty much says it all. This is some trippy psychedelic retro music that I never tire of hearing. While some bands only touch on the psych, The Liquid Sound Company embrace it head on and its absolutely a magical and hypnotic ride.

Trippy guitar jams outline the first track “Liquid Sound Freedom�, an exercise in ‘70s psychedelic music brought to modern times. As with the best psychedelic music the beat, groove and guitar will leave you in a trance-like state of mind. On “Free of Agitation� there’s a hint of Egyptian in the guitars and more awesome psychedelic tones. The jazzy guitar runs in “Morning Sun� and the somewhat experimental “Unfolding� are more highlights.

Acid Music For Acid People is a must have for fans of psychedelic rock music. I am digging this a lot.
