Zlurad: For The Good Of Evil

Now lately I have been exposed to plenty of music from Russia and for the most part have been very impressed. That is, until now. Zlurad is an avant noise rock outfit from Moscow with their debut album titled For The Good Of Evil released in 2019. All I can say is this music is not for me. I normally don’t mind my share of improvisation but this was just a tad over the top. The disharmony, the anguished screaming vocals, the frenetic musings, the total unadulterated chaos with little musical attributes has proven incredibly difficult to sit through. Apologies to the band if this comes off as overly harsh but I can only write based on what I’ve heard and the music, being almost completely devoid of melody, just doesn’t make the grade. I will leave this one for other folks to try. Sorry…
