Re-Machined: Wheels of Time

Every once in a while, I get the urge to listen to Saxon, especially classic tracks like “Wheels of Steel” and “Denim and Leather.” I know there are tons of other great Saxon songs, but those two have stuck with me since I was a kid and they never get old. If you’re a Saxon fan, you probably feel the same way. You might also love bands like Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Demon, Judas Priest, and many others.

If those bands appeal to you, you’re in luck. Re-Machined loves their late-70s / early 80s hard rock and metal and they play it well. Even better, the band writes good music without ever sounding like they are simply indulging in nostalgia for its own sake. I suggest checking out tracks like “Fear,” “Heart on Fire,” and “Wheels of Time.” This album isn’t reinventing anything, but it is a fun and energetic look at classic metal.
