Deconsecration: Demo 2020
I stumbled across this band by sheer happenstance, but I was so impressed with their strong sound and their cool cover art that I had to know more. Just look at those skeletons! Those guys definitely aren’t anything to mess with.
Although I’m honestly not sure how long the band has been together, I can tell you that they come from Seattle and that this is their first official recording. Recorded earlier this year, the demo features four death metal tracks that are heavy with sinister-sounding riffs, extremely dark vocals, and earthshaking drums. The band makes no pretense of making a statement or proving a point. Instead, they simply pound out four dark and powerful tracks that death metal fans will definitely enjoy. Although I liked every track, I would definitely recommend checking out “Ghost” or “Imploding Ascent.” I hope these guys will be back with more music soon because I need more!
If you are interested in Deconsecration, you can find their demo on Bandcamp for a flexible cost (“name your price”) or you can purchase a cassette through Caligari Records, but there are only 27 of 500 left. If you collect cassettes, this is probably your last chance. In any event, I highly recommend that you check these guys out.
