Iron Maiden: Nights of The Dead -Legacy of the Beast- Live in Mexico City

Succeeding a three year ‘feels-like forever’ release intermission, Eddie and the boys evocatively re-establish their prominent base with a remarkable collaboration of a celebrated assembly of tracks from the full proportions of their impressive and unvanquished career in the format of a contemporary live benefaction; indulging elegantly with a minor touch of some live rarities and deeper cuts from all periods of the Maiden legacy and from the masterfully-alluring spectacle of the beast.

This time on the action-packed agenda of the performing Maiden voyage, it is the turn of the red, white and green flagged stimulated onlookers of Mexico City who prominently stand forth as the vibrantly-passionate devotees facing the comprehensive embrace of the big stage production from the stupendously- well selling Legacy of the Beast Tour; manifesting the intensely-veritable levels of confidence towards the grandiose crest of the Iron Maiden clan and family.

Performing colossally-extravagant hits and anthemic battle hymns from the sophistically-profound fanatic treasure chest in the ambitious grasps of the appealingly-pure forms of the leviathan taming track ‘Aces High’, the clock-ticking rhythmically challenging meltdown of ‘Two Minutes to Midnight’, the dulcetly guitar duelling paragon of ‘The Trooper’ and the ungodly devilish occurrences of ‘The Number of the Beast’ keeps listeners hooked into exhilaratingly delving deep right into the familiar territories of the six-piece outfits sizeable back catalogue; distinguishingly reminding the planet who still deservedly are the superciliously-clarified and candidly-mesmerizing true reigning gods of Heavy Metal that are pushing right up to the emotive progressions of this very modern day era.

Out from the woodwork perplexingly, the audaciously-luminescent New Wave of Heavy Metal Brits restore faith in deeper cuts in the form of 1983’s Piece of Mind episode ‘Where Eagles Dare’, the Blaze-era opuscule ‘Sign of the Cross’ and the rarely played ‘A Matter of Life and Death’ epic in the name of ‘For the Greater Good of God’ after some period of time; seductively standing in conjunction with the accustomed and definitive timeless Maiden outputs ‘Run to the Hills’, Aces High’ and the diabolically constructed gallows shadowing masterpiece ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’ to add to the multitude’s supplementary amusement.

However, there are obstacles in the way of this live record being a near-perfect product as foremost the production quite notably suffers from an indigent quality in the mixing process and it evidently does affect the finalised outcome to some sort of a degree; dispensing itself in the configuration of a fan released bootleg and injuriously loses a fundamental element of the accomplishing uniformity overall. Nights of the Dead is another successful segment and contribution to the impressively-established Legacy of the Beast inhabiting within the imposingly-stunning discography of Eddie’s archives.
