Iron Mask: Master of Masters

Four long years after Brussel located brutes Iron Mask released their latest Power Metal episode into the atmosphere, the armed elite return with a new constructed haulage of the purest and most Melodic Metal extravaganza one could even imagine; hitting the right spots superiorly in all the correct places with the band’s seventh lustrously composed offering Master of Masters. Kicking us straight into the midst of oblivion, the sublime Belgian outfit spend no durational periods of time messing around as the excellent and ambitious newcomer vocalizer Mike Slembrouck warmly welcomes us with the royal parade fanfare opener ‘Never Kiss the Ring’, joyously capturing the heart of what the superlatively-gifted lead guitar player Dushan Petrossi’s “metalicious� assembly is notably all about; endearingly leaving us where 2016’s Diabolica left off in a majestic pool of magnificence and a divine calibre of strength.

“Strength in Numbers� is the phrase I would use to significantly describe this record, the material layered out on the frontline is just formidably tremendous; driving straight through the protective channels of the heart layered into the imposingly-awesome pounding and the paramount championing entries of the cleverly catchy 80’s Hard Rock constitution of ‘Wild and Lethal’ and the delivery of the awe-inspiring elevation of headbanging muscularity on the album’s first single ‘Tree of the World’.

Furthermore, to really turn up the heat nozzles of this stupefying portfolio of tracks, Oliver Hartmann known for his Melodic Rock solo project Hartmann, his studios vocals for Iron Mask previously and his precedingly noteworthy works with German Power Metallers At Vance or Italian Progressive Metal enterprise Empty Tremor splendidly adds his skilfully charming David Coverdale/Ronnie James Dio stylised vocals to the amiably catchy portion of Master of masters in the form of the heart storming ‘Revolution Rise’; sitting high above on the imperial throne as a consequential highlight of this electrifyingly-stimulating contemporary output as a combined whole with the absolute integrity and the ultimate fulfilment blended along with the superciliously-consummating lengthy opus inclusion of ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’.

Master of Masters as a complete full-length benefaction to the Metal world and is the hidden key to the chained door of the secret kingdom to elementally bring down mountains with the exceptionally combined force in the formation of the masterly ensemble of guitar advocate Petrossi, the indestructible vocals of Slembrouck, the meaty rhythmic drive of Russian bassist Moltchanov and the red-bearded drum maestro Ramy Ali; moreover, if another record like this would come sooner rather than later then I think this combination will be an optimum proponent for all Metal fanatics across the globe.
