Forget about production values on this self-released CD from middle-Tennessee's Hell Hound. The 17 songs here are all about "leather-tearin', makeup-wearin', beer-drinkin', muff-divin', guitar-blazin', hell-razin'" hillybilly rock - at least if you believe the press materials that arrived with this goofy CD. And there's no reason not to believe them. From the scantily clad cartoon chicks on the cover of the band's debut CD Release the Hounds to the black-metal face paint band members wear to Hell Hound's hooky sleaze-metal-meets-modern-metal sound, this band probably doesn't give a damn about audio quality or commercial success, anyway. And with a singer named Kaney Jaxx who, oddly enough, channels Lemmy Kilmister and George Thorogood, that's probably a good thing.
