Mr. Joe is a music teacher, specializing in childhood education. I received his 2010 CD titled Sing, Laugh & Learn with Mr. Joe for review. It seems a little odd to review what is essentially a CD for kids on a progressive rock website but here it is.
There is no doubt many children and parents will appreciate this disc as a great learning tool. All you have to do is look at the song titles to appreciate where Mr. Joe is coming from. As it turns out Mr. Joe is a decent musician, his guitar playing is quite good, be it his acoustic playing on “Thankful” or his heavier electric rhythms on “Makin’ Eggs and Ham”. The music is generally catchy and as I said kids should enjoy this set. For me, I cannot see myself listening to the album again as I am past this point in my life but for others with young families you may want to check this one out.
