This album really should inspire a blues revolution. In a time of backing tracks, lip-synching and simply the strange state that the industry is in.. this album shows what impact a raw blues band can have.
With classic 6/8 feels, boogie woogies, and just plain great rippin’ blues this album should please all fans of blues and rock alike.
The production balances each member out perfectly and the players & vocals come through crystal clear and complement each other on every track.
The first song “Blues Revolution” is a modern day blues anthem and kicks off the album superbly and stands as a symbol for what follows. With tracks like “Modern day Gentleman” “Headache” and “Boogie Woogie Man” you get more pulsing modern blues sounding tracks.
The treat of the album are tracks like “Let's Join Hands” and “Death Knock Blues”; While still maintaining the classic sounds these tracks really take the album to the next level musically and maintain that relatable-lyrics aspect of the blues that we all know and love such as one i pulled from the album “Life ain’t easy if you lose your spark” .
All together, this album is a fantastic blues rock album. We should all delight that the genre that started it all is still alive and well!
