Magna Zero: Infinite Sky

Magna Zero's Infinite Sky is a compelling blend of post-punk, alternative, psychedelic, and desert rock elements. The Los Angeles-based trio, comprised of Chris DiCesare on guitars, Jason Moore on vocals, bass, and keys, and David Aubrey on drums, has crafted a solid record that will appeal to fans of heavy progressive rock and experimental music.

The post-punk influences of God Is An Astronaut and The Cure are evident, while the alternative nuances evoke the psychedelic elements of Jane's Addiction, Pixies, and The Flaming Lips. The heavy psych component is reminiscent of Elder and Time Dwellers, and the desert rock vibe is palpable in the song lengths and structures.

The guitar work is a standout feature, with stretched soloing that drills into the listener's brain- sharp, noisy, and melodic all at once. This experimental approach recalls Pink Floyd's early work. Vocals are strong, and the rhythmic sound is tight and well-executed.
