Hey does anyone remember the great play on words from the old Flintstone's cartoon series? Movies starring Stoney Curtis and Ann Margrock lol!! The title of this one tells you all you wanna or need to know bout this veteran south western three piece (Stoney, guitar vocals, Charles Glover II, drums and Colby Smith, bass). The music is fuzz drenched three piece psychedelic circa 60ies/70ies blues. Stoney claims to have been looking for "the power of Zeppelin, the psychedelia of Cream and the Experience and the flow of the Robin Trower band" and does not disappoint on the dozen self penned frenzy fests here.
The band has a huge following amongst the motorcycle and leather set of Vegas and its not hard to see why as Stoney mixes in the Chicago hard rock'n'blues sounds he grew up with into this crock pot of hard rockin' jam based sounds. The misfortune for Stoney is that this brand of music will probably never appeal to a broader fan base but I am sure he is just happy to make a living playing and partying to his exciting brand of blues.
