The Numb Ones are a three-piece alt-rock band that play driving, rowdy, rock-n-roll. Everything In Between can play with the heavy distortion of Hoobastank or the more melodic side of Third Eye Blind. The ten tracks are fairly standard, commercial fair, but do present a fairly entertaining CD.
"Space and Time" is the most radio-friendly of the tacks, where as "Understand" has a darker, almost grunge feel. "So Sincere" would fit on a Verve Pipe album and "The Blanket" has an almost 80s Velvet Crush sound. And that is the crutch of my issue with The Numb Ones; they are so like other bands that they have no identity of their own. The remake of The Cars' "Just What I Needed" and Sweet's "Love Is Like Oxygen" are basically filler, with nothing new or interesting to add to that rendition.
Everything In Between is an enjoyable CD. I own 4 or 5 just like it. If you really dig radio-friendly alternative rock, or you are looking to just get into that genre, then The Numb Ones is worth the purchase. If you are looking for something you haven't heard before, this one may not be for you.
