Manegarm: Nordstjarnans Tidsalder

So I am sitting here minding my own business when I pop in this CD. Lo and behold, I am in the middle of one huge document with all my reviews when this CD crashes my system! Luckily I recovered my rambling opinions and nonsensical jabbering.

The CD is multimedia ready with bios on the other Displeased artists. Good idea, but hang your testers!

Anyway, the music...

Manegarm reminds me of "Tales from the Thousand Lakes" era Amorphis. There are those "folksy" harmonies the famous Fins play with ease. For example, "Drakeld" sounds like it could be off of the "Black Winter Day" EP.

There are some great songs here though. Love "Nordanhlod" and "Fallen Harskare". Every song just keeps getting better and better. Try this one out, if you even remotely like the sound of Amorphis and Emperor getting together and doing a one-off.

Just don't listen to Manegarm on your PC.
