3 Vulgar Videos From Hell is 4 hours of prime Pantera in their element-live onstage, the backstage and tour bus shenanigans, making videos, and in the studio. This DVD release puts together all the existing Pantera home videos into one 2 disc collection, and it's hours of fun for any longtime fan of the band or someone who really wants to see what the rock and roll lifestyle is all about. Judging by this, it's obvious that Pantera where one hell of a "have a good time and party" band who knew how to kick on live and then celebrate afterwards. The footage included here takes you around the world with the band on their various tours, and quite frankly there's some hilarious stuff here. You get plenty of backstage betting contests to consume evertything from bottles of hot sauce, barbecue sauce, salad dressing, whole cakes, and every type of alcohol you can imagine, which obviously results in lots of stumbling and falling down. A few clips (which will have you in stitches) show various band and stage crew members passed out sleeping while the rest of the crew mess around with all sorts of hijinks to get them to wake up. IN addition, there's plenty of live foootage of the band jamming with Skid Row (the two bands doing Kiss' "Cold Gin" is very cool), Rob Halford, Kerry King from Slayer, Sacred Reich, Crowbar, and many others, as well as a quick clip of Pantera trying to get Yngwie Malmsteen to eat a dognut, which he angrily replies " I don't eat fucking dognuts!" and storms off. Of course, it wouldn't be a heavy metal DVD without plenty of scantily clad and naked women, so keep the kids away from the TV when watching this one. Pantera's penchant for marijuana is also apparent, so expect plenty of joints and bongs passed around as well.
As for the music, you can't go wrong here, you get the bands videos, and footage from the Monsters of Rock festival in Moscow, where the band played in front of a huge audience of metal heads that were not accustomed to seeing metal regularly. Seeing Dimebag in his glory days ripping it up on the guitar will make you miss him all the more-the guy was so talented and left us way too early.
This is essential viewing for metal fans, and a fun 4 hours to spend with a classic band.
