Agnosis: Hecate (EP)

While it's only three songs, Hecate is a pretty powerful slab of molten doom and stoner grooves from Agnosis. Fans of Crowbar should especially dig deep of the monolithic riffs of a song like "Unholy Lord", complete with both slow, sludge ridden dirges as well as speedier thrash guitar torrents. The bruising "...And Yet We Fight to Win" is over 6-minutes of sheer doom power, with crushing power chords and hair raising vocals. Of course, what better way to end this brief EP than with "The End Times", a faster paced metal vehicle that starts off with a mix of thrash riffs, intricate rhythms, and harsh vocals, before slowing down to an apocalyptic death march complete with massive bass rumbles, distorted guitar riffs, and eerie atmosphere.

Bring on a full length album I say, bring it on.
