Once you get past the pretty snazzy yet chilling album cover, Killing Absorption is all about brutality, brutality, and more brutality. Fleshgore are not big on melody or atmosphere, this is in your face death metal with no shortage of pummeling guitar riffs, relentless blast beats, and putrid cookie monster death growls. Sound up your alley? Well, for certain it's not for the faint of heart, but make no mistake about it, these guys take their craft seriously. Tracks like "Severe Pain" and "Interuterine Dilemms" rampage along like a runaway freight train filled with bloody entrails and severed heads, driven mercilessly by faster than the speed of light guitar riffs and blast beats. Forget about trying to figure out the lyrics, as these growls are so demented you can easily just take a gander at the song titles ("Devoured by Helminthes" anyone?) and figure out that there's something quite shocking being relayed. However, after a few spins, the lack of any melody or varying tempo gives each song a similar feeling, which is a shame as they guys really do have the chops. Basically, this has all been done before, but if you are a fan of the gorier side of death metal, give this a try as it might just be the dessert for your next blood feast.
