Exitium: Outsourcing Morality
Fans of classic grindcore will certainly fall in love with the sophomore effort from Exitium titled Outsourcing Morality. This is pure brutality, plain and simple. With an endless assault of raging blast beats, technical guitar riffs, and a wide array of vocal styles including cookie monster growls, gurgles, screams, and evil shrieks. This stuff is not for the faint of heart by any means, but then again most fans of the grind genre are not looking for elevator music. With plenty of punk and death metal influence, these guys crash their way through a dozen tracks of total devastation here, all in under a half hour, highlights being relentless monstrosities like "Mask the Stars", "Enshrined", and "Only in Death". For those who don't normally gravitate to grindcore, the music of Exitium might seem way too harsh and lacking melody or focus, and the vocals here are way over the top and dripping with absolute rage, which might turn off many. But, if you cut your teeth on vintage Napalm Death, Outsourcing Morality, this will probably be right up your alley.
