"East coast hardcore and old school metal" is the description found in the press kit of the Los Angeles band of brothers, Neurotoxin. Back in the day this is what you would refer to as "crossover". This independently released 4 song E.P. mastered by the legendary Eddie Schreyer recalls the days of "Skate or Die" alley trash living for uncluttered sidewalks, bud and brew.
Extremely well played & ripe with influences ranging from Suicidal Tendencies to Death this "do it yourself" minded recording will remind people of what is like to be out there sweating and busting your ass to get by and having some fun in the process. Songs like 'Degenerate' and 'Spite' are delivered with a punkish bark and a precision bite. You can hear a little bit of the Steve Digiorgio bass influence with those vibrating strings and rolling notes; bringing more depth into the music to offset the demented panache of the image. If these 4 songs are an indicator of what is next to come for the band. I would say they are moving retro sounds in the right direction.
