Lozen: Enemies Against Power

Tacoma, Washington's Lozen brings the fire with a seven-song sojourn through the dusty, hazy hard rock underground. Old farts such as The Melvins, Black Sabbath, The Jesus Lizard and Big Black serve as touchstones for "Breech," "Made With Love," "Wet Nightmare" (Best title evah!) and "So Long." New farts such as Totimoshi, Gorch Fock and Stinking Lizaveta also find their way into this simmering, sweltering, brew of rock that seems virtually untouched by pop music (save for a verse or so of "Unspeakable Truths") from two of the most powerful living women in rock who channel the spirit of warrior who long ago left her mortal coil.
