A fairly generic retread of Kansas and Dream Theater, Mehida's Blood & Water puts progressive before music over the course of 11 tracks. "Unchanging" has a good guitar solo but the tune, as a whole, sounds like the kind of thing dreamed up for a C movie soundtrack when the score composer wanted something that sounded metal but was more like aluminum or tin. The wankery (all of it piled on top of the worst sounding drums since St. Anger) doesn't stop at any point on this record and reaches new levels of hilarity when these lads accidentally ape Bong Jojovi's "Living On A Prayer" in the early moments of "Burning Earth" and during the pseudo (c)rap metal of "Multitude" and go for the anti gusto with a the faux glam balladry heard in "Lost Ones" (until it devolves into incidental music for a video game).
