A quintet bent on delivering all things heavy––from thrash to death to hardcore, then back again with bits of stoner and sludge thrown in for good measure––The Warriors may be one of America's most unstoppable bands. Highlights are myriad: "New Sun Rising" may be one of the great metal anthems of the year (and is sure to stir up a storm of moshing and gnoshing when the band plays live), "The Price Of Punishment" sounds like Black Sabbath raised on a diet of Dillinger Escape Plan and At The Gates; "Nothing Lasts" is the Sex Pistols launching a 21st Century death metal blitzkrieg; "Life Grows Cold" is pure aggression and fear-inspiring riffing and screaming and never has launching your fists high into the air in front of your bedroom or rearview mirror felt as good as it does in that track's two minutes and 37 seconds. The boys have a host of guest vocalists including Lemmy, Lou Koller (Sick Of It All) and Andrew Neufeld but all shall hail Warriors frontman Marshall Lichtenwaldt from this day forward.
