Blasphemous Creation: Shadows Of Evil

Nevada based Blasphemous Creation has their sound firmly rooted in 80's era thrash / black metal, and this four song demo entitled Shadows Of Evil, which is an inspired if not entirely original offering, captures these influences with an venerable amount of blinding intensity. The songs are primarily delivered at breakneck speed, with little or no adjustments as far as tempos go, and the guitar solos rely on plenty of twisted, tremolo bar wankering. Vocalist Isaac Wilson snarls his way through the standard lyrical fare of sadistic killers, the grim reaper and blood sucking creatures from the underworld with convincing aplomb. Also for a purported demo the production quality here is very good. Blasphemous Creation certainly comes across as dedicated, but honestly speaking as far as originality goes, that is something they'll need to work on for future releases if they have any hope of distancing themselves from the pack.
