Hope To See Another Day Live is the new DVD from Poland's Believe, the band formed by guitarist Mirek Gil, formerly of Collage & Satellite. Filmed in 2007 at the Wyspański Theater in Katowice, Poland (the usual spot for most of these Metal Mind prog concerts) this 8 song set (slightly over an hour) features mostly songs from the band's first CD Hope To See Another Day, so if you've been grooving to their latest and very solid release Yesterday Is A Friend, you won't find those tunes here. The Wyspański was set up to the hilt for this show, as the band is adorned in a very lovely stage set-up and loads of colorful lights, perfectly working with their brand of melodic neo-progressive rock music. Lead singer/rhythm guitarist Tomek Rózycki has a pleasant enough voice, lending his smooth pipes to such melodic fare as "What Is Love", "Liar", and "Don't Tell Me", but the real stars here are Gil and his tasty fretwork, Adam Milosz and his walls of keyboards, and Satomi Yasutaniya with her soaring violin. Watch all three shine on the epic & closing title track here, a real tour de force of symphonic prog rock. On the down side, there are occasions here where the band comes across on the bland side, and it's a shame they didn't wait another year till their follow-up CD came out to give more diversity to the set list, but either way, this is still an enjoyable watch if you are a fan of the band, Collage, or Satellite.
