Maryland's Final Redemption have put out a fun little 4-song EP of brutal death metal here with Vindicated Carnage. Nothing you haven't already heard before mind you-you know, monstrous riffs, growls, screams, grunts, pounding drums, with just a hint of the US 'core thing that so many bands here seem to inject into their music. Though Vindicated Carnage is lacking in originality, that doesn't mean these guys aren't good at what they do. On the contrary, tunes like "A Rapacious Appetite" and "Aberrancy" pummel with plenty of conviction, the guitars of Dan and Jamie attack with the utmost ferocity, and the vocal delivery of the other Dan will certainly peel the paint off your walls. They even throws in a bit of technicality on the bludgeoning "Concrete Sentiment", manic double bass drums from Chris just relentless alongside torrents of complex riffery from the guitar duo. All in all, Final Redemption offer up lots of solid US death metal here, showing that there should be something to look forward to when their follow-up full length hits the streets.
