One of the original Thrash bands, Laaz Rockit commenced in 1982, and multiple studio releases would ensue over the years. The band parted company in 1993, getting back together in 2005, the successful reunion saw the band touring plus releasing a DVD Live Untold encompassing the bands story. After such positive reactions Laaz Rockit decided to hit the studio for the first time in fifteen years and lay down the tracks for their new CD Left For Dead.
Left For Dead is testament to the fact that Laaz Rockit still has what it takes, containing ten studio tracks of dominant metal and three live slammers. There is no easing into this one, "Brain Wash" explodes into life , but it's not all about breaking speed records, as the album has many mid paced groovers. Plenty of punchy metal hooks abound, though Laaz Rockit do drop the vocals for the guitar dominated instrumental "Outro".
Laaz Rockit have put the new guys on the block on notice, along with 2008 releases from the likes of Testament and Death Angel the old school can still match it with anyone and adapt to the times, proving that the metal masters are back in style.
