Manzana are another in a long list of metal bands from Finland. My first impressions of this album was, besides the strange cover art of a cat with wings, (how cool is that NOT), these guys can play, Babies Of The Revolution's strength is in the musicianship. However some of the vocals didn't impress at times, given this isn't an instrumental album you can't really ignore them.
Babies Of The Revolution has a grunge/metal feel with rock elements. "Cherry Pit" is one of the albums more appealing songs with some tasteful execution between the guitar/keyboard/drum and bass performances. "World is a Vampire"...I wonder if that tile was inspired by the Smashing Pumpking's track "Bullet With Butterfly Wings". I'd say it's a very strong possibility.
Manzana's Babies Of The Revolution is a frustrating album, and can't say I was overly enticed, the vocals are a sticking point, yet I enjoyed the music. Be your own judge.
