Head Resonance Company + Peter Pixel Project: 19 Tracks for Unknown People (CD/DVD)

This is a CD plus a DVD set that is a collection of recordings from 1980-1984. The Head Resonance Company was a group of musicians that experimented with recording and sound manipulation. The first 14 tracks are all of the same type, which are minimalist electronic collages of sounds. These tracks may be of interest to someone that has a doctorate in noiseology.

The last five tracks are by the Peter Pixel Project and are German new wave music. The tracks are all sung in German and are sung over basic repetitive electronic beats. The music is again very basic with a slightly dark feel to it.

The DVD is collection of video clips all spliced together. The DVD looks like it could be an art student's project on video techniques and visual manipulation.

I believe every recording is worth listening to, how good it is comes down to how many times you listen to it. This is an interesting listen, but in my opinion one listening is enough for me (it took me 5 attempts to listen to the complete CD).
