ID: Vision: Plazmadkaos

Even if this CD last a little over 30 minutes, I needed to take breaks at regular intervals. Where I live, in the Great White North, they gave a medication called "Ritalin" to hyper-active children. I'm wondering if it would work for this band!

I'm really an open minded type of person, who loves progressive music, Folk, Black Metal as well as Frank Zappa and the Beatles for instances, but I'm having a bit of hard time when my favorite extreme metal is being mixed with techno sounds and beats, see. Id:Vision is a Russian band with four permanent members. Amongst them, V.S.T.-Ror is the electronic maniac who is overwhelmingly present throughout this recording. I personally like keyboards and electronics to a certain degree, as long as they don't overcome the real direction of the music, especially in Black Metal. I like ambient, dark or symphonic arrangements no problems, but danceable beats and bouncy sounds just don't cut it . ID:Vision do have a real drummer on board, although I'm sure they use drum machines in their blast beats. This causes a way too mechanical sounding drum, too far from a real organic kit. On the good side, because all is not lost, the singer/guitar player is doing a great job in keeping the Black Metal flame burning amongst this flamboyant display of modern / techno environment. Some parts are more experimental / avant-gardist like on "Doden Force Division". Actually, the first part of this album is not too bad. Unfortunately, the second half is where the techno / disco mode settles. My overall favorite composition is track #4, "The Funeral of Altruism".

With much less electronics, and no techno, Plazmadkaos could have been considered a more serious Black Metal release.
