Bloodsworn's All Hyllest Til Satan was originally recorded and released back in 1999, and now recently remixed and re-released by the band and Agonia Records. Not sure how much demand there was to get this one back out on the market, but it's here, 32-minutes of fuzzed out, raunchy black metal fury. Sort of like a strange meeting between Mayhem and Motorhead, the music on All Hyllest Til Satan is neither original or inspiring, the band plowing through one track after another of tortured, effects laden vocal screams, punishing blast beats, and a murderous onslaught of distorted riffs. Having never heard the original release, I can only say that this new mix sounds quite muddy and raw, which was perhaps the point, the black metal mayhem sprinkled with odd sound effects and some synths, the culmination of which appears on "The Dawn of the New Millennium", a crushingly heavy tune with just the right amount of atmosphere to go along with the brutality. Interesting to note that there are quite a few guitar solos here, some of which are pretty hot, such as on "Stormens Roest" and "Destruction in the Name of Satan", but overall it's not enough to save what is otherwise a somewhat unsatisfying black metal experience.
