For twenty nine minutes, every musical masochist will be in heaven thanks to the droning sludgefest called Lost Houses by The Curtains of Night. Simply put, drummer Lauren Fitzpatrick and guitarist/singer Nora Rogers have managed to put together one of the most boring pieces of doom/sludge metal I have ever put into my CD player.
Tired monotonous guitar riffs, tedious drums and a vocal style that makes me think of Rosanne Rosannadanna singing Cookie Monster style, this one is as bad as it gets. I am sure some might enjoy this type of stuff but I find no redeeming value in it at all.
