"Blood For Oil" (interesting title and strong lyrics), being the heavy track that opens this CD from Thrash metal band Abomination, a band founded in the year 1987, their album titled Tragedy Strikes was originally released back in 1991, now it's another to join the list of Metal Mind Production's remasters.
You could say Tragedy Strikes is an album that, while not the best or most consistent release that the genre has to offer, it does have its enjoyable songs and moments. Some more hooks wouldn't have hurt like on "Soldier", one of the better tracks on offer, after all that's what rocked with bands like Slayer and Testament, the awesome riffs and catchy sections that stayed in your head, and made you want to revisit them.
As a worthy purchase for those who want some solid thrash I'd give this a listen first, Abomination's Tragedy Strikes was a potent metal album, with the band making a statement through their powerful lyrical content. Times have changed, but I'm sure it was a hit back in the early nineties.
