Back in 1996 Death Metal band Malevolent Creation released their fourth album, Eternal; Metal Mind Productions have now re-released the album, re-mastered with extras. Eternal is your classic death metal release, from the eerie artwork and ominous song titles, to the music within and copious snarling vocals.
"No Salvation" is a deadly opener, a mid paced power track, song two "Blood Brothers" starts with Malevolent Creation's very able drummer Dave Culross, applying some very rapid kicks. This guy must be fit, his fluid extreme drumming exhibition on Eternal shows what an asset he is as his kit gets a pummeling. "Infernal Desire" commences with Dave's snare sounding like a rampant jackhammer, the spoken word sections are a nice touch. "Living In Fear" is another of the many brutal slammers to be found on Eternal, like the ferocious title track.
Malevolent Creation's Eternal is a furious amalgamation of rampant riffage and blasting beats, topped of with a heavy serving of deathly vocals. As with all the Metal Mind reissues this one comes as a digipack with some bonus tracks for good measure.
