Stand against a wall, repeatedly bash your head with a ball peen for about 30 minutes and you will get the effect this very extreme grindcore band from Finland has on you. With 17 offerings of the kind of metal that peels away the flesh, this album will make all those who are into music such as Napalm Death or Terrorizer take notice.
Don't worry about any soft melodic passages or for that matter, any let up at all as this savage work takes aim at your central nervous system and brutally hammers it with a searing attack that is reinforced by the death metal growls of vocalist Kai Jaakkola. He never gives it a break as the harsh guttural voice keeps at you with the same tone for the whole album.
This is the one complaint of the disc. After a few times through the disc there is a real sameness to it that actually gets boring. While a couple tracks are standouts, "Deceiving Shortcuts" and "Connected To The Confusion", even they have that same feel as the rest of this short disc (just over 32 minutes). I use to say that country music was one song with the words changed; Deathbound has made me take that philosophy into the world of grindcore.
