A hefty, somewhat technical union of heavy metal, coupled with clean/sometimes hostile singing, well, that popular combo is what you'll find on Blind Faith Loyalty, the new impressive and second CD from Crown The Lost. Blind Faith Loyalty sounds terrific; the band have done a fine job capturing their commanding sound on this release. For myself, it is great to hear a band relying more on the strengths of clean vocals, the use of constant harsh growls is becoming so common in many styles of metal bands. I don't mind them when they suit the music, but that isn't always the case.
Blind Faith Loyalty is loaded with explosive riffs and solos, backed with hammering well executed drumming, simply put Crown The Lost have created a stirring metal album here. Prepare for impact as you press play on this one, "Defame the Hypocrites" ignites with bursting guitar licks and a storm of drum fills. "Drawing the Parallel" also commences with some animated showmanship, before setting off at a fast pace, the guitar on "Bound To Wrath" just rocks, like so many times on this album, the vocals also stand out on this track, reaching those King Diamond like high notes at times.
Crown The Lost obviously put a lot of time into getting Blind Faith Loyalty just right, as the resulting songs speak for themselves. Great album guys!
