It would be safe to say that in this techno crazy world that we live in, there is a place for what this group has brought to the table. The question it raises is whether or not you want to be sitting nearby when the chaotic madness of Noism takes hold.
As brutal and disjointed as the world around us, Yoshiro Hamazaki guitarist and programmer Tomoyuki Akiyama have made an album that reflects the lives of today but does so in such a way as to make you afraid of what is going on around you. After listening to this short (21 min.) CD, I had the urge to go and find a nice, quiet, peaceful place to give my ears a chance to stop the bleeding.
Thrashing, disjointed guitars set against maniacal programmed drums, this disc is not for the faint hearted. While there is a certain appeal to it, I don't think it is something that will make it to the player very often. Most use music as an escape or way to relax, not as a reminder of what is out there in the world to drive us nuts each and every day.
Taken in small doses, it is a disc that certainly can be called unique. When the time comes to head to a place like Detroit and fight the congestion and traffic, this is the CD to pump you up! It is twenty minutes of pure road rage set to music.
