Dream Logik X is an interesting little curio from Legendary Pink Dots founder Edward Ka-Spel in that this companion EP was only included in the vinyl edition of his Dream Logik Parts One-Three release.
Sparse synth washes and eerie sounding effects are really the only accompaniment for Ka-Spel's equally as creepy poetic musings on this three track collection which weighs in approximately twenty minutes. If you've never experienced Edward either as a solo artist or through his work with The Dots, then I'd have to say this probably isn't the place to start because the music here is fractured and unstable, kind of like a bad acid trip. That being said, I do like most of what I've heard from his vast back catalogue of solo work and although I haven't heard the rest of his Dream Logik series, this one certainly piqued my curiosity a little bit. Probably best to listen to this though within the context of the other releases in order to fully appreciate it as a whole.
