Power Metaller's Mystic Prophecy return after Satanic Curses, a good ballsy metal album, but I actually preferred the previous release Savage Souls, which is a fantastic selection of metal. Mystic Prophecy play very heavy kick ass power metal, not that happy variety many others are known for. Three new members have joined the band's ranks since the last release, and from hearing Fireangel that loss didn't hurt Mystic Prophecy at all.
Unleashing their furor with "Across The Gates Of Hell", next they have "Demons Crown" and what a track, this is how metal should sound, as this piece is a catchy and intense slower thumper, and with the chants this could quite easily fit on a Dream Evil release. "We Kill! You Die!" has the speed turned up, with an onslaught of double kicks and battery of guitar riffs. Vocalist R.D. Liapakis shows once again what a great range he has for this sort of music.
Fireangel has the band giving the fans more of what they desire, and after six albums is proof Mystic Prophecy still has plenty of fire in their music. If you like vibrant, powerful metal that's melodic and very catchy, with cracking riffs and solos, then that's what you will find on Mystic Prophecy's Fireangel.
