Italy's a country that's quite well known for power metal bands like Vision Divine, Labyrinth and Elvenking, not so much those of Incoming Cerebral Overdrive's variety. Incoming Cerebral Overdrive are a hardcore/experimental/alternative metal band, with Controverso being the title of their second CD.
From the brutal screaming vocals on Controverso, Incoming Cerebral Overdrive's music is technical and diverse (maybe too much so), with ferocious and chaotic playing on tracks like "Reflections" and "Sound". "Sound" being an odd mixture which left me a bit 'confuseo' (just to keep in line with the album title), as "Sound" switches from brutal music into a lighter progressive style, and then back again to that harder intense music. "Reflections" and the predominantly instrumental (with the exception of some screams) "There" are two of Controverso's better tracks, with strong music and performances.
Incoming Cerebral Overdrive combine a varied mix into their music, and Controverso is a CD for hardcore fans who like a technical touch to their music, so certainly give it a try.
