Dutch death metal act Hail of Bullets are back with Warsaw Rising, an EP that continues on with the brutal delivery that they started on with Of Frost and War. Martin Van Drunen (Asphyx), Ed Warby (Bolt Thrower) and the gang give us two new tracks on this one, the bludgeoning "Liberators" and the excellent death metal machine that is the title piece, along with three live cuts and a cover of the Twisted Sister song "Destroyer". The TS cover is actually a lot of fun, heavy as hell, with crushing guitar riffs meshing with Van Drunen's deathly growls...Dee Snider's ears are probably ringing as we speak! The live cuts are all tunes from the band's debut played out on tour, and here you really get to appreciate what this old school styled death metal supergroup is all about. "Red Wolves of Stalin" is especially brutal, and "Nachthexen" sees Warby attacking his instrument like a man possessed. Word has it that Warsaw Rising is only available for digital download purchase, go get it while you can and enjoy till the band puts together their next full-length release of brutal extreme metal.
