Kill 2 This: Mass. [Down]-Sin. (drone.)

Kill 2 This sure do have a lot of influences and it's funny that in "Confused In The Computer Age," you actually finally get the connection between Foo Fighters and Black Sabbath. That'd never cross my mind, which is I suppose is cool. As a whole, I don't find Kill 2 This particularly bland, but neither do I feel the need to take them in and make them my new favorite band. They have some really cool tracks, including "Typhoid And Swans," which'll no doubt become a favorite on compilation tapes passed between friends in years to come. "Frame By Frame" is another good candidate, too. But, on the whole, will this band change your life? Probably not. (Still, I'm giving it a strong rating. Weird, eh? Like I said, it's not bad. I recommend it, especially given current musical climates. You could do worse than own this album.) But, hey, everybody's gotta have a favorite band and maybe this is yours. Better than most of what's been reviewed in the current issue of Rolling Stone.

Listen for this on college radio. In the right age, it could hit big (enough) there. Is there a video for "The Universe In A Nutshell"?
