Illidiance is a five piece underground act hailing from Russia. They take their influences from Black Metal, a bit of Progressive too and inject a lot of modern/futuristic sounds into their mix. All this results in some sort of hectic/ avant-gardist post Black Metal music. Although they do have a real drummer on crew, I swear some, if not all, passages really sound so mechanical that it might as well been programmed. The distorted riffs and tremolo pickings were given a second place and the mid-range production account for the lack of crunchiness in the rhythm department. On the other hand, the higher tonalities of the leads are of the ear piercing type, which tends to be stressful after a while. You really have to like keyboards because this instrument is prominent and leading the musical phrase from beginning to end. I can't say this is a crappy release, but you have to be prepared to listen to something quite different and very modern, even slightly techno in some parts. No tracks are actually standing out although closing instrumental, "Spiral Galaxy NGC1309" comes in as a southing and relaxing ambient piece.
Nexaeon is no easy listening experience, but if you're into modern black metal with keys galore, then go for it!
