Over to Peru for this power trio (translate as The Wrath of God). A male/female dialogue opens the album briefly and is blasted apart by a fiery punk-rock vamp. Anguished vocals low down in the mix adorn the tracks which rely on their wall-of-sound, early British punk style, supplemented by soaring spacey guitars and tribal drumming. The heavy acid psych-rock style, epitomised by "Todo arde.." (everything up in flames), "Calles oscuras" (dark streets) and especially the fabulous penultimate track, "Megahertz", provide at least some relief from the in-yer-face mashing of the band's punk influences. The tempo throughout is relentless though even in their more classic-rock influenced songs. "Lima City" even has a vocal duet and woo-hoo chorus which hints at a pop idiom still to be fully realised.
Musically the band is very tight and their pacey, well-controlled, raw and dirty guitar solos together with the frantic back line demonstrates that they are far from being a typical three-chord thrash outfit. Songs are delivered in Spanish with one in English. High-octane material from an energetic live band who have three albums behind them and a fair following of fans in their own country and abroad.
