Debuting with Until We Are Outnumbered, metal band The Kandidate are coming at you from Denmark. Until We Are Outnumbered sounds like an epic battle movie, well this is not a movie, but the ruthless style of The Kandidate's music will give your ear drums a beating. The Kandidate was formed in 2005 by bass player KB Larson and guitarist Allan Tvedebrink; in 2009 they would strike a deal with Napalm Records, which has now led to their thrash debut seeing the light of day.
The screaming vocals on Until We Are Outnumbered are from Ex-Hatesphere vocalist Jakob Bredhal, his rage charged vocals being a suitable matchup to the brutal music. So how good is this debut? Well, Until We Are Outnumbered is a solid release, The Kandidate's fury is discharged on opening track "Strength Through Diversity", signaling their intention to cut loose with explosive metal, and they continue the barrage until "Your Truly" comes to an end and their potent guitar work is put to rest. One trap with this kind of hard and in your face music, it can start to drag and sound like one long song, held back by a lack of variation, but luckily, for the most part, The Kandidiate don't fall into that one.
The Kandidate's hard hitting and promising debut is a turbulent thrash compilation, from a capable group of musicians who have created a fiery metal album with Until We Are Outnumbered.
