Haakon's Fault: Pilgrimage

New York's Haakon's Fault debut E.P release certainly has all the ingredients to be included on the 'Ones to Watch' list for 2010. Encompassing the influences of progressive rock and jazz they have a little tinge of Dream Theater hitching a ride on Faith No Mores bus with Living Colour at the wheel. With a sound that's polished and deep in texture while still being fully accessible I predict great things for them. Each member fully articulate in their delivery, combined with great vocals I'm sure in the hands of a top producer 'Pilgrimage' could sound massive. It's when they rock that you get the full power from this band and rocking is what they do best, some of the other moments are a little jazz bar for my liking. If your in the New York area catch these guys now before they are snapped up by the big leagues.
