Mercy is the third full length effort of Heavy Metallers Sweet Cobra. As far as you can still speak of a full length album - when it's just over 35 minutes – these days.
What can we expect when we listen to this effort? Heavy riffing, fast playing, more shouting then singing. Sounds a bit like old fashioned Motorhead, not surprisingly, as they belong in the same genre as Lemmy and his gang.
at the end of 2009 Sweet Cobra lost one of their guitar players, Matt Arluck. Matt is still present on Mercy, and has left the world his legacy with this album. Matt will be dearly missed, as he was one energetic guitar player.
High energy is another thing that springs to my mind, as Mercyis absolutely crammed full of energetic songs. It will not bore you for a minute as a fan of this genre.
A shame though it takes up only 35 minutes... or is it? I know after listening to the entire 35 minutes I was drained and all my energy was gone, so I had to sit and rest for a while.
Sweet Cobra have succeeded in making a high energetic heavy metal album well worth listening to, although I strongly believe seeing them live will be even better .
